Book

Inspired by a conversation from the ancient wisdom of Srimad Bhagavatam, I set out to create a children’s book that explores deeper philosophical ideas -such as the nature of the mind, karma, and time - in a way that feels simple, visual, and emotionally engaging.

The challenge was to translate abstract spiritual concepts into a format that resonates with both children and adults, without losing their depth.

I approached this as a multi-format creative project, combining writing, design, and film into a single cohesive experience.

  • Narrative development: Adapted a classical dialogue into poetic form, inspired by traditional Sanskrit meters, but written in accessible English

  • Visual direction: Developed a cinematic illustration style, using AI-assisted workflows refined through manual editing and colour grading

  • Book design: Designed a 210mm square format with full-bleed spreads, balancing typography with immersive imagery

  • Film production: Created an 8-minute short film expanding the themes beyond the book

  • Print execution: Prepared files for both global print-on-demand and premium hardback production

This project allowed me to explore how ancient philosophy can be translated into modern visual storytelling, creating something that works across multiple formats while staying rooted in its original message.
